The number of Salons offering hair removal service has been increasing in number as of late. There are even specialized Salons which ONLY cater to this service solely.
There are many reason why someone would considers hair removal but predominantly the major reason would be aesthetics. Although sometimes it could also be due to other factors such as Culture.
Widows were actually obliged to shave their heads in some sections in society in India. While outlawed, this practice still prevails on some of its rural areas.
There is also hair removal due to medical reasons. It is a prerequisite for areas of the body which will be operated to be hairless to help reduce the risk of infection. Sometimes, it is also done to minimize body odor.
Currently, there are a lot of options when it comes to hair removal. Some of which are temporary and some even permanent.

Shaving is the most common method which only requires a razor and some cream. This is a fast way to get rid of unwanted hair. There also some razors which are specifically designed for delicate areas.
Waxing and Sugaring are the same in concept. The only difference is the solution being used. In this method a solutions will be applied to ones skin and then removed with a porous strip thus pulling out the hairs along with it.
Tweezing is another method. In this method, hair is basically pulled out by the roots one at a time with the aid of tweezers.
Then there are Depilatories. This is done by applying a solution to the skin where you would want the hair to be removed from. This requires letting the solution say for some time for it to dissolve unwanted hair.
As for the permanent methods, the all have the same basic principle which is to destroy the hair follicles thus eliminating hair growth.
In comparison, permanent methods are definitely costly compared to temporary methods. So in choosing which hair removal method to use, one should consider several factors such as cost and preference.
